Possibilities For The Future Of AIC

Alice In Chains was one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time.  Jerry Cantrell is an amazing and original guitarist and a good songwriter as well.  With Layne Staley's distinctive voice, JC's blues/metal/rock/jazz/folk guitar riffs, and Layne's and Jerry's voices together (which harmonized so well), AIC's diversity and catalouge deserve to sit beside my favorite rock band of all time (Led Zeppelin, AIC is my 2nd fav. of all time) Don't get me wrong, i love JC's solo albums, they're incredible, but i miss AIC with Sean Kinney, and Mike Inez.  I think if AIC got back together with Bret Scallions (former singer of Fuel) on vocals, it would produce an amazing result.  Scallions has that kind of howling voice that Layne had, and i really think that would be an outstanding project.  I saw Fuel live in concert and hung out on their tour bus with them.  Please anybody who reads this and thinks that this would be a great quasi-new band, please post more suggestions, and maybe JC will see this and take up my idea.  Thanx in advance for anyone who shares this vision

Hmmm, never was much of a Fuel fan, so I'd say no to that matchup.

This is not the AIC website,so my guess is that you want to suggest a singer to

Mr Cantrell for future AIC projects. I think I should join AIC next time, because

they need a woman to replace Layne on vocals, not a man. I'm just writing this

so Mr Cantrell will call me and ask me to join after he's done with the cute girls

who tried to do this, and failed. Right.
