The Rules - Read Them, Know Them, Follow Them

    Rule #1 is Respect
The number one rule for using the Jerry Cantrell Discussion Board is to respect your fellow board members. Be respectful by:
    - not launching personal attacks
    - not fighting
    - allowing others to have their own opinions and beliefs (even if they are different from yours)
    - practising self-moderation.

Members who fail to follow this simple rule risk getting themselves banned from the Board.

    No Nude Photos/Porn/Sexual Harassment
Absolutely no nude or pornographic photos are allowed, either in posts or as avatars. Yes, it’s true, not all nude photos are porn but these are the Jerry Cantrell Board, not the art philosophy boards and here nude photos are just as unwelcomed as porn is. Individuals who persist in posting nude/pornographic images will be banned.

Sexual harassment (bothering someone with unwanted sexual attention) will not be tolerated and members who sexually harass other members will be banned. This includes harassment that happens on the Boards or over PMs.

    Offensive Language
The occasional bit of "adult language" is fine but please don't go overboard. Jerry doesn’t fill his songs with swears so why should you fill your posts with such words?

Also, any hateful language (racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. remarks) will not be tolerated. Posts containing these kinds of remarks will be edited or deleted by the mods and the poster will receive a warning. Rack up enough warnings and the poster will be banned from the Board.

    No Commercial Posts/Spam
This isn’t Ebay so please don’t try to sell your fellow board members anything. Any posts of a commercial nature will be deleted by a mod and the poster will receive a warning. Keeping making commercial posts & you will be banned.

Put the Thread in the Correct Forum
Each forum has its own theme. Please respect this theme (and your fellow board members) by posting in the correct forum. Threads posted in the wrong forum will be moved and people who regularly post in the wrong forums will be warned.

    Locked Threads
Threads have been locked for a reason. Please do not protest the locking of a thread by opening a new, similar thread. Users who do that will be warned. Users who persistently restart locked threads will be banned.

    Multiple Threads
One topic = one thread. Multiple threads on the same topic will be combined into one thread.

Also, please avoid posting the same thread in multiple forums. While we realize that you want your thread to receive maximum exposure, posting the same thread in multiple forums splits up replies and makes for a weaker discussion.

    Problems with Another Member?
If you are having serious problems with another member of the Board, try to first work things out through private messages (“PM”). Please do NOT try to work it out by calling each other names over a series of posts on the boards.

If PMing the other member doesn’t work, send your complaints to a mod by PMing one of the following people: metalman49, LCooley, yiddle or Lindsay_K.

    *A Note About Being Banned*
Individuals are banned because that person broke one of the rules. If you (or a friend) has been banned, please do NOT ask for more specific details by posting a message on the Board. Any such messages will be deleted. Instead, please either PM one of the mods (metalman49, LCooley, yiddle or Lindsay_K) or send an email to help @ jerrycantrell.com.

And once banned, always banned. Anyone who has been banned is NOT welcomed back on the Boards and any new IDs they create will also be banned. If you suspect that a banned person has returned to the Boards, please alert the mods. Thanks.
