So have you ever met Jerry and what are your thoughts/experiences?Hopefully you got some pics if you have met him, so feel free to post'em here and make this thread even more interesting :oops: :)

I had the chance to meet him in Aug. 2005, at the Vegas Rock Star Poker tourney at the Palms. My son won the tourney. We got autographs and pictures. But we respected his space and people he was with. Plus I was a little shy to start a conversation with "the great one"! My observations were he's a private guy, he loved the fact my son and I had our CV tshirts on, he was polite, answered the few questions I did have. Shared with us that he's been sober now for over 3 years. He knew he was my son's "idol", and it was way cool how he stayed right by the table and watched my son play in heads up, was next to him in all the photo's, which made it extra special with that extra attention, which he didn't have to do, but I figure he's a really nice guy, and will do that for a fan. As I read the message board, there's alot of crap back and forth. I would love to see the force of the fans come together, to prove to Jerry that it's his music that brings us together. We need to support him by buying his music, and getting his solo stuff on the air waves, create the demand.

I met Jerry at a show in portland Oregon after the gig, outside by the tour bus, I got no pics but did get autographs, he was more interested in getting some coke than smoking out with us, when asked if Layne was going to show up at the Halloween gig the next night he got a little pissed saying "it's my gig not Laynes!" Seems I hit a sore spot. :evil:
