*Update: The current JerryCantrell.com board will go down on Thursday, Sept. 14. All forums except for this one will be locked on that date. On Friday, Sept. 15, the new board will go up and all the threads will be unlocked.

Your current board accout will be carried over however, in order to use the new board, you will need to delete your cookies, restart your browser and reset your password. Safari users will also need to change the text editor. Details on how to do that will be on the new board.

Don't worry, all the threads, posts and accounts will be carried over. As long as your current JC.com account is tied into an email account you can access, you won't have to start a new account. You will however have to reset your password when you first login.

You will also need to save your avatars, signatures and private messages as none of these items will be carried over to the new board.

The new board will have the same colour scheme as this one but the layout and features will be a little different. It will be using the same platform as the AliceInChains.com Board: http://www.aliceinchains.com/forums so if you're comfortable using that board, you'll be fine on the new Jerry board.

The changeover will likely happen sometime the week of Aug. 14.

Whilst it's great that it's being updated, I'm not at all keen on the platform used at AIC as it's very slow compared to other boards.
