my great-grandfather died about four years ago, and I just now
inherited a Supro old relic. I'm not quite sure what exact model. but
it has a fixed bridge, single humbucker pickup, 1 tone, 1 volume
control. non- locking tuners. And a body that reminds me a fender
jaguar. oh, and a sunburst color
Problem- the neck is
somewhat warped, in some places it's not bad. But, It's not really
playabe It's a pretty good-looking guitar, it's gotta be about
40-50 years-old. Being there's not much on supro past the 60's. And I'd
like to know if there is any real surgical restoration I could do. Like
replace the neck, would that work? Oh, and the pickup works, it's fine
for now.
I'd rather just make the thing playable, not restore it's beuty. How much might that cost? Is it possible?
I also heard that supro was a rare brand, more of a collectors item. Is this true?
